Pricing & licensing

Is GJAM Invoice Generator really free?
Yes. The first 5 PDF downloads are completely free with no signup, no watermarks. After that you can buy a one-time lifetime license to unlock unlimited downloads.
How does the lifetime license work?
Buy the license once on Gumroad, paste the key into the "Validate License" field, and your browser gets unlimited downloads. There is no recurring payment, no account.
Can I get a refund?
Yes — Gumroad offers a 30-day refund window, no questions asked.
Will my license work on multiple devices?
Yes. Paste the same license key on each device you use the tool on.
Will the price increase?
Possibly. The lifetime license is intentionally cheap during launch. Existing license holders are never affected by future price increases.

Data & privacy

Where is my invoice data stored?
All data lives in your browser's localStorage. We never send your client or invoice details to a server. Your data persists across page refreshes on the same device.
Is my data backed up?
Not on our side — by design. If you clear your browser data or switch devices, you start fresh. We recommend exporting/saving any invoices you may need to reference later as PDFs.
Do you track me with analytics?
We use only privacy-respecting product analytics (no cookies, no PII). Your invoice contents are never sent or logged.
Do you sell my data?
No. We do not collect personal data, so there is nothing to sell. See our Privacy Policy for details.

PDF & invoice features

Will the PDF split a line item across pages?
No. Each line item, the totals block, and the notes section all use page-break-inside: avoid CSS, so they never get cut between pages.
Can I add my logo and brand colour?
Yes. Upload a PNG/JPG/SVG logo (up to 1.5 MB) and pick an accent colour with the colour picker — both appear on the live preview and in the downloaded PDF.
What currencies are supported?
Common currencies including USD, EUR, GBP, INR, AUD, CAD, AED, SGD, JPY, CHF — formatted with proper locale rules. Switch the currency at any time.
Does it support GST, VAT and sales tax?
Yes. Set a custom tax label (GST, VAT, Sales Tax, etc.) and a custom tax %. Discounts are applied before tax — the standard convention used by accounting software.
Can I number invoices automatically?
Invoice numbering is manual to keep you in full control. We default to a `INV-YYYY-NNN` pattern that you can override at any time.

Country & tax compliance

Is the GST invoice format India-compliant?
Yes — the generator outputs all 11 fields required by the Indian GST Act: GSTIN, sequential invoice number, HSN/SAC support inside descriptions, CGST/SGST or IGST, total in figures, and place of supply.
Is the UK VAT invoice HMRC-compliant?
Yes. It includes the supplier's VAT number, sequential invoice number, tax point, and standard / reduced / zero VAT rate support.
Can I generate Australian Tax Invoices with ABN?
Yes. Use the Tax/Reg ID field for your ABN, set GST to 10% and label it appropriately. The format meets ATO requirements for tax invoices over A$1,000.
Does it support reverse-charge VAT for EU clients?
Yes — set Tax % to 0 and add "Reverse charge — customer to account for VAT" to the Notes section. This is the standard EU B2B reverse-charge pattern.

Migrating from another tool

Can I import data from FreshBooks/Wave/Bonsai/Zoho?
Not automatically yet. The simplest migration is to copy your business and client details into GJAM once — they auto-save to your browser and never need to be re-typed.
Why don't you have features X, Y, Z that FreshBooks has?
GJAM Invoice Generator is purposefully focused: produce a beautiful, accurate invoice PDF as fast as possible. Recurring billing, payment processing, time tracking and bookkeeping are intentionally out of scope.
