Privacy Policy

The short version

GJAM Invoice Generator is built to be privacy-respecting by default. Your invoice content, client information, and business details never leave your browser. We do not have a database of your invoices, and we cannot read them.

What we store on your device

The tool uses your browser's LocalStorage to remember:

  • Your invoice data (vendor, client, line items, notes)
  • Your free-tier download counter
  • Your verified license key (if you've purchased one)

This data is stored only on your device. Clearing your browser data removes all of it. Switching devices means starting fresh.

What we send to our servers

The only request that leaves your browser is the optional license verification call to /api/verify-license. We send the license key to Gumroad to verify it, and Gumroad returns a success/failure response. We do not store the license key on our servers.

Cookies & analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate traffic patterns (which pages are visited, how long, what country). We have configured it with the following privacy hardening:

  • anonymize_ip: true — your IP address is truncated before being stored.
  • allow_google_signals: false — disables Google Signals, which would otherwise enable cross-device tracking.
  • allow_ad_personalization_signals: false — your behaviour on this site is never used for ad personalisation.

We never send your invoice content, client information, or business details to Google Analytics — only standard page-view events.

Third parties

License verification is delegated to Gumroad. When you purchase a lifetime license, Gumroad processes the transaction and is the data controller for that purchase. See Gumroad's privacy policy for details.

Page-view analytics is handled by Google (Google Analytics 4) with the privacy settings described above.

Your rights

Because we don't store personal data on our servers, there is nothing to delete or export. If you have any concerns, contact us at hello@gjam.in and we will respond within 7 business days.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy if our practices change. We'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the tool means you accept the current policy.
